Your Corporate Merch Swag Shop is designed to be as flexible as your team or campaign needs it to be. You have full control over how your shop handles sales tax, shipping charges, and store-wide discounts.
Here’s how each setting works and how you can configure it to match your preferences:
✅ Sales Tax Options: Who Pays It?
You can choose who is responsible for paying sales tax on each order placed through your Swag Shop:
- Shop Owner Pays Sales Tax:
Corporate Merch will not charge your customers any tax at checkout. Instead, we will bill the tax amount to you based on the order’s shipping destination and applicable tax laws.
- Customer Pays Sales Tax:
Corporate Merch will calculate and collect the appropriate sales tax from your customers at checkout. You won’t be billed separately for tax.
💡 Choose this based on your budget preferences and how you want the customer experience to feel.
🚚 Shipping Options: What Does the Customer Pay?
You can also control how shipping charges are handled on your Swag Shop:
- Free Shipping:
The customer sees $0 shipping at checkout. Corporate Merch bills you the actual shipping cost after the order is fulfilled.
- Flat Rate Shipping:
You can define a fixed shipping cost (e.g., $5.00 per order), regardless of the size, weight, or destination. The customer pays this amount, and we bill you based on the actual costs.
- Pass-Through Shipping:
Customers are charged the exact shipping cost that Corporate Merch calculates based on the order’s size, weight, and shipping destination. This means that the amount your customer pays is the same as what we will bill you.
📦 This setting is ideal if you want precise control over your budget or want to offer a premium experience with free shipping.
💸 Store-Wide Discount
You can apply a store-wide discount as a percentage off all items in your shop:
- Example: Setting a 15% discount will automatically reduce every product price in the shop by 15% at checkout.
🛍 Use this feature to run special promotions, reward employees, or increase engagement with your shop.
How to Update These Settings
- Go to your Swag Shop Dashboard
- Navigate to the Shops tab
- Select Shop Management Settings
- Make your changes and click Save
