Every Action Through an AI Assistant Shows Up in Your Corporate Merch Account

If you're browsing, quoting, or ordering through Claude, ChatGPT, or any other assistant connected to Corporate Merch, you might wonder where that activity actually lives. The short answer: nowhere separate. There's no parallel "AI order history" β€” everything runs through your same Corporate Merch account, the one you'd log into on the website.

Why this matters

The MCP server isn't a separate system with its own records. It's a direct interface into the same account, catalog, and order pipeline that powers our website and your account dashboard. An assistant doesn't hold its own copy of your orders or quotes β€” it reads from and writes to your real account in real time.

That means:

  • Orders placed via chat are real orders. They get a real order number, appear in your order history immediately, and go through the same fulfillment process as anything placed on the website.
  • Quotes reflect live pricing. A quote an assistant gives you is pulled from the same pricing engine used everywhere else β€” not a cached or separate estimate.
  • Nothing happens invisibly. If an assistant places an order, adjusts a shop, or checks a status, that action is attributed to your account and shows up wherever that kind of activity normally shows up β€” order history, billing, shop configuration.

Where to check

  • Order history in your account dashboard shows every order regardless of how it was placed β€” web, chat, or otherwise.
  • Billing/invoices reflect any charges made through an in-chat checkout the same way they'd reflect a web checkout.
  • Shop and design changes made through an assistant appear the same way manual changes would, under your account activity.

If you place an order through Claude and then log into corporatemerch.com five minutes later, you'll see it sitting there like any other order β€” same number, same status, same details.

Why we built it this way

We didn't want AI ordering to feel like a side channel you'd have to separately track or reconcile. Your account is the single source of truth. An assistant is just another way of interacting with it β€” not a different ledger you have to keep an eye on.
